observations for today
i thought i'd share what the good things i've recently experienced.
- a safe flight to melbourne. damn the turbulence.
- great cooked meals by my mommy.
- massages and back scratches from my sister
- great bargains for shopping- clothes, shoes, undies, shoes.. and more shoes hehehehe
- my dear piano, the first thing i touched as soon as i got home.
- people who randomly say hello and smile on the streets
- surprise email from a lovely woman.
- email threads from friends in the philippines - reminiscing our high school days.
- catch up dinners with my couple friends., sometimes it's nice to see and know how they maintain their loving relationships.
- text messages and emails from a dear friend now in cambridge.
- sweet phone calls from great men :)
- the new hazelnut snickers chocolate bar
- pampering myself with new hair do and freshly manicured french tipped nails
- downloading mp3's ;)
-pants/jeans that are just perfect size, length and looks good on my butt.
- high heels to make me look girly
- sunshine on a very very cold day in melbourne
- chocolate spread on hot toast, roasted marshmallows on a cold day.
- hugs from friends, boy friends (yes - hehehe)
- hugs and smiles that are sent remotely (online)
- meeting up with friends i miss so much
- and most of all having barbara time for 12 days.
.. and these are just list of good things from the last 3 days...
haaay... life is definitely good.
oh ... and of course.
the good thing of having a digital cam so handy to take more pics..

to ponder onlife is funny.. sometimes we only see the bad things out of it.. but really when you think about it, there is something good and funny out of the most miserable situations.

my wife giving birth to our beautiful baby and it doesn't get any better than that :)
and on a lesser note...

My promotion, new hair, new clothes and shoes! Newish and old friends. Kicking butt at the gym and eating well (most of the time) and my new quilt/quilt cover/sheets and clean and tidy room!

Those chats that only happen once in a while.... but they mean so much
My family... who I miss so much at the moment but I know we are together in spirit
My mother's cooking
My partner's smell, his smile, his eyes
People who take care of me... and who allow me to look after them
Chocolate
Swimming (need to get back in that pool!)
And of course..... you my dear friend
I miss you a lot, and I miss our two am chats.... but I know we will be together very soon and in the meantime... be good!!!!

I played in an online 'banter chess' game last night, watched by people all over the world. Had to make comments regarding moves, thoughts, strategies - yeah sounds pretty geeky huh? But it was a thrill. What a thrill. Up against an opponent ranked much higher than me, even just having the pot luck at being picked. Was awesome being part of it. And I pulled off one of my best games, to win.

I am enjoying the peace from not wanting or persuing a boyfriend.It's really great just having time for yourself and friends and not worrying about the way you look on a first date. All you singles out there my advice is enjoy life as a single and someone special will come along when its time. Now is 'me' time :)
